Who TF is still using sms (or whatever chimera its morphed into) in the year 2023?
All, and I really do mean ALL, messages that arrive on my phone are over whatsapp, telegram or discord.
The green/blue bubble thing is classist and problematic and bringing it up is frankly embarrassing.

- cj 4y agoYou have an iPhone and you don't use iMessage? I guess turning 30 has officially pushed me into the "old" generation. I'm ok with that.
- petesergeant 4y agoAlmost everyone I message frequently has an iPhone, and I don't think I've had an iMessage from a human in the last 5 years
- cableshaft 4y agoOne of my friend groups (that I regularly meet for board game nights) still uses Group SMS for chat. I'm in another one with my parents. I use iMessage with my SO. A few friends reach out to me via SMS still (one even calls me and asks me to call him back in voicemail...that seems so archaic now). But yeah, that's about it. Everything else is via some messenger service, mostly Discord or Facebook.
