Flat white lie: why people use an alias to order coffee
- m348e912 4y agoI don't know of any other coffee shop besides Starbucks that uses your name as part of the order.
- tompark 4y agoLots of cafes in San Francisco do that. I use my middle name bc my first name is too common. Also when I was in college we used to use a friend's last name on restaurant waitlists. Her name was very unusual and it was funny amongst those of us who knew her.
- not_me_ever 4y agoTo be honest, I just do it for the fun of it. Nothing better than the confused kid shouting "O'Daddy" across the room. Closely followed up by "Ileak" in 2nd place.
