Now if Intel could finally fix gpu hangs on alder lake / kaby lake processors past kernel version 5.18 I would be really impressed. These hangups have been plaguing X1 carbon users for years now. Their drivers have introduced regression bugs a couple of times, and even arbitrary kernel parameters which fixed the issue do no longer work for me and my colleagues which are on x1 carbons past the 9th gen. For me especially, my laptop reports gpu hangs every 5 seconds via dmesg unless a second monitor is connected. Some of my colleagues had some luck with disabling OpenGL in their compositor‘s settings, but that didn‘t work for me.
