Google is in decay or start of it it seems. Companies outside Google beat hands down in quality. One example in Machine translation would be deepl.com which just simply makes feel Google translate a mediocre product.
LLM train missed by a huge margin depsite owning DeepMind and having tons of inhouse experise.
Not going to talk about Stadia but overall, probably a product tier that's insulated in their own imaginary bubble (such as Meta) result in downfall of business empires.
- impulser_ 4y agoI don't know based on the financial report they just released, they aren't decaying they are growing by 10%. Is Google the new Facebook where everyone keep saying it's dying but the number say the exact opposite? Google has 120b in cash, all their main products Ads, Search, YouTube, Cloud are all still growing. Where is the decay?
- wg0 4y agoNot talking about financial numbers if that's the only criteria and those gains are monetization gains. Put gmail as paid product and might post 30% growth next year. I'm talking about product quality. Is that also improving by 10% every year? Search at least isn't.
