- 13years 4y agoUnfortunately, the article didn't really elaborate on what methods might be used going forward to fix this issue. It did hint at the AI needs to understand human anatomy. But how is that going to happen? I'm assuming that would require training on more than just images and somehow combining models? Has anyone proposed an actual strategy?
- eternalban 4y ago> imprints of hands on cave walls are the very first kind of art that Homo sapiens created that we know of ... And here is a plot for the first post-AI-apocalypse scifi book (have dibs here, folks). Humanity barely remembers how it all went down but passed from generation to generation was the symbol of 'the hand' that the nemesis couldn't get right. Thousands of years pass before yet again arriving at the emergence of AGI that anthropologists begin wondering if the hand symbol was something more than just a nascent expression of artistic creativity.
- beardyw 4y agoThis is the problem with AI - it has no idea how hands work. Same with text, it has no idea what the things it is talking about are. It needs to get away from that computer and get some real life experience!
