Hmm. I wonder what the impact is on those that are already anemic and get an infection that causes this reaction. I also wonder whether there is any impact on length of illness by taking things like iron and magnesium. Aren’t zinc and magnesium a couple of the things they say to take during sickness?

It can be bad. My partner has fairly severe chronic iron deficiency anemia, an infection landed them in an ICU followed by a month of hospitalization
