- EForEndeavour 4y agoWithout atmosphere, capes wouldn't billow aesthetically. I'm not sure what they'd end up looking like, but I imagine they'd awkwardly just sort of hang there at a weird angle, and swing with the wearer's rotational movements like a flexible pendulum, getting in the way while looking dorky.
- ChuckNorris89 4y agoThe Incredibles taught me why you wouldn't want capes[1], especially in space and rocketry. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_GF0KAAkg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_GF0KAAkg

- _Wintermute 4y agoThe British had a concept for what a space suit would look like in the 1940s which had a cape. https://boingboing.net/2021/05/28/in-1949-the-british-interplanetary-society-designed-a-far-out-spacesuit-recently-a-museum-had-it-made-for-real.html https://boingboing.net/2021/05/28/in-1949-the-british-interp...
