- jonathanstrange 4y agoI have to second this. Google products are dangerous. As an example, Gmail once silently dropped all emails to or from my email account - they didn't bounce back with an error message, they vanished in a black hole. This took me a while to figure out and it caused substantial damage at work. It took my commercial email provider several days to get Google to fix the problem. Their support staff told me they weren't able to contact any person at Google, they had to fill out a web form.
- luckylion 4y agoWe had that happen with Cloudflare-forwarded emails on a specific mailbox. I wrestled with CF's support until I got to someone who was able to debug the issue and they found out that everything was sent successfully and accepted by Google's servers, it just vanished afterwards. What I found out afterwards: using the same mailbox with a suffix ("mailbox+cloudflare@example.com") worked just fine.
- vdchuyen 4y agoThe clearly problem is to make a good providers/products, you need good product managers and product operation teams, mostly this is not tech related. So from my view, Google is never a good provider.
