Couldn’t they include two checksums; one for compressed, and if that fails, decompress and check the uncompressed content?
- viraptor 4y agoTypically when working with automated deployment/build systems you don't want to decompress unknown data for security reasons. Checking the checksum of the compressed content solves that issue.
