What do you do when you can't understand something no matter how hard you try?
Say I'm working on programming stuffs and I fail to understand it no matter how hard I try. What's your go to method at this case?
- lesserknowndan 4y agoTypically, if you don’t understand something, it is because you are trying to understand something that you don’t have the pre-requisite knowledge for. My advice would be to try and find what pre-requisite knowledge you don’t have and work on that. For programming, I think it is best to compile a simple one file program on the command line and run it, before trying to understand the “magic” you get with Integrated Development Environments. Once you understand how a simple program is compiled and run, you can then focus on how to make a more complicated program. From this perspective, I think C is a very good programming language for beginners because it forces you to understand some very important concepts before programs get too large. C will also make you appreciate whatever language you move to next :)
