The one development is the satellite connectivity. For me and my friends, this is a pretty huge feature as most weekends (especially during hunting season), we're far from service with all sorts of injury-causing devices and accident-invoking substances at hand. Unfortunately, I bought my 12 mini long ago and it's still going strong, and my friend bought the version without satellite because he didn't even know that was an available feature. So good feature, zero uptake. Blame marketing.
