I've been thinking about this issue a lot. I wish there was a gig worker type role people with autism could play. If they had meaningful employment, it would change their life. Despite some concerns, I think Goodwill does a decent job providing simple jobs/job training to some folks with autism. On a separate thread, what can tech do to make things better? I don't see this as being venture funded .. it has to be grant based at the start. Wish large, successful folks like YC had a special focus on this sort of tech .. we need more of this rather than TikTok clones. The spectrum nature of autism makes this so so complicated. We really need a ton of research at understanding this.
