I sincerely believe in the value of these technologies. I think, similar to dotcom, there are shining stars and there are scams. However the sheer starry eyed ignorance in this sector is worrisome. Whilst optimism helps in keeping going in a startup, refusing realism in general, in an almost religious fashion, is overall not good. How widespread that is, is a systemic risk, in my opinion.
