They don’t feel faster than a decade ago and they feel significantly slower than two decades ago. There has to be some “law” name for how software expands to consume any increased resources.

- qbrass 4y agoBill and Andy's law says software gets slower at the same rate that hardware gets faster. Wirth's law says software gets slower more quickly than hardware gets faster. There are other similar eponymous laws, but they're basically those two laws stated differently or with different attributions.
