I have been a Spotify premium subscriber for about two years, and just 4-5 days ago, I canceled my premium subscription and went back to the ad-supported version. Sheesh, the ad-supported version is miserable to use. It feels to me like Spotify would rather just harass me to the point of driving me off the platform altogether rather than permit me to be a non-premium user. And their strategy might work because I will probably sign up for premium again just because the non-premium version is so miserable. When I used the non-premium version a few years ago, it was nowhere near this bad. I can't stand it now.
