- AlexandrB 4y agoAgreed. Even in the most mechanistic view of humans as simply very complex machines, you don't leave the malfunctioning machines running freely to disrupt the overall system. Ideally this perspective would lead to a push for better access to mental health professionals and viewing prison as rehabilitation vs. retribution. However I could see it being used to support things like capital punishment.
