Before Folding 30 Years Ago, the Sears Catalog Sold Some Surprising Products
- ggm 4y agoAs a British child, I marvelled in awe at both a Dover publication reprint of a turn of the century catalogue, and a contemporary 1970s one. I could handle either and budget to suit. I never got to buy, only to marvel. Great bog reading. The clothes were simply awful. That said, my last pair of 501s were bought in a Seattle sears in 2014 or so, a very very sad shop. I think I may have been the only customer. I'd rather be able to buy a complete house, a barrel of mixed screws and a bb gun, along with a false limb and cookware from the same store than not. Costco and Amazon aren't quite as satisfying.
