Do ML at a FAANG. 2. Figure out if you want to do research or enginerring because there's a big difference between the two. 3. Be more clear about "ML picks up" means to you. It's quite popular now - I don't know what you expect to change, and if something changes, I don't know why that's necessarily good for your career.
