Ask HN: How do I find Tell HN submissions?
I’ve searched through the lists, and I couldn’t find anything for Tell HN posts.
- _Microft 4y agoYou could try the Algolia search. The search box at the bottom of HN pages points to that. https://hn.algolia.com/?q=Tell+HN%3A https://hn.algolia.com/?q=Tell+HN%3A
- mdwalters 4y agoOh OK, that works
- _Microft 4y agoGlad I could help! You can also add quotes around the search text to restrict results to the search term exactly as it is. Example: "Tell HN:"
- favourable 4y agoYou might want to filter by the latest week to stay on top of recent Tell HNs: https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastWeek&page=0&prefix=false&query=Tell%20HN%3A&sort=byPopularity&type=story https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastWeek&page=0&prefix=fal...

- gus_massa 4y agoIt's an unoficial "feature". You just write "Tell HN:" before the title instead of "Ask HN:", and leave the URL empty. There is no support in the server, and they get mixed with the "Ask HN:" and other variations people can imagine. (The "Show HN:" started like this, until the mods decide to make the official and add a filter for them.)
