Given the weak accuracy - which is of course understandable given the difficulty of the task - this mostly seems like a fig leaf that lets them pretend to do something about the potential problems of AI generated text becoming more and more pervasive. Probably one shouldn't fault them for trying, but the cat is out of the bag I think.
