Surely in a DENSE urban environment for short range trips there are not much needs for a big vehicle BUT there is a DEEP fallacy in such design: IF we are actually electrifying anything THAN we need a fully electric logistic.
IF we can made it, no matter how, in a sustainable way, than we have no issues in making big and even bigger EVs. If we can't smaller EVs does not solve ANYTHING.
If for instance we will need electrified roads to have a sustainable fully electric supply chain such roads works for semi as well as private cars. If we can build enough batteries apt to serve semi, than we have no issues building them also for cars.
That's is.
Those who to their best to justify the UN New Urban Agenda, sold ad https://youtu.be/p-9X8Z2kJt8 https://youtu.be/p-9X8Z2kJt8 but in reality https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/19/why-greeces-expensive-new-migrant-camps-are-outraging-ngos https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/19/why-greeces-ex... do not serve their reader nor humanity.
Electrification of anything is needed for industrial reasons, witch are essentially a deep reduction in raw material usage, a deep reduction in industrial processes. A mechanical watch demand much more raw material and labor per single watch than a modern battery based one, oh sure industrial system to produce batteries and chips is more expensive BUT we need them anyway AND single produced object is far less expensive, demand far less raw material and can be produced in a very little amount of time. IF such evolution will not work, perhaps because we do not have enough lithium even to make it in the first place producing glorified golf carts https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3vny5/glorified-electric-golf-carts-for-all https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3vny5/glorified-electric-go... do not solve nor mitigate the issue. Is just a political move to push poor people in cities while the wealthy leave them.
