Solving Impending Energy Crisis Using Oil Companies?
- edwinespinosa09 4y agoInteresting take on goethermal as possible solution but I'm curious how feasible from engineering standpoint and what are the risks associated?
- edwinespinosa09 4y agoProblem: Current renewable energy sources will not be enough to solve our high energy demands and due to the constraints being put on oil and gas there is an impending energy crisis (data in the URL below) Source: https://www.macrovoices.com/guest-content/list-guest-publications/4914-energy-crisis-ep-1-podcast-version-download/file https://www.macrovoices.com/guest-content/list-guest-publica... Hypothesis: Advances in geothermal, especially with governmental backing, can help alleviate the high energy demands in a sustainable way. The deeper we go the more energy solutions we create. Geothermal advances such as lateral drilling and fracturing were created in 1900s but have not been economically viable till recently. As the energy crisis gets worse geothermal technology will become more economically reasonable. Source: Podcast in the post
