Ask HN: Do you think the bubble has burst?
Is it just me feeling this way or are we still in a bubble?
I searched for the word bubble on HN comments and found some indicating the bubble has burst. People everywhere suggest buying dips as stocks have started to correct since the war. However, I feel like stocks are still overvalued.
Is this the new normal for PE ratios? Will the free money era last our entire life times?
- mnky9800n 4y agoDepends on what bubble you are talking about. I don't think the chatgpt bubble has burst. i do think the wework bubble has burst. i don't think the metaverse bubble has burst (despite all the efforts both internally and externally to burst it). I do think the world of warcraft bubble has burst.

Tech Companies that have never and will never make a cent of net revenue are valued in the billions. So, does it sound like we are in a bubble?
- controversial97 4y agoIn my opinion, the value of assets in the USA going up is driven by the US government creating astronomical amounts of new money and that is very unlikely to stop in the next couple of years.
- r_singh 4y agoIt has an effect on the value of assets worldwide. I can't believe a part of me wants my own country to close the economy rather than open it up. The free money era should stop, I just wonder what could trigger it.
