I did want to write tiny pieces once in a while to have a nice record of random stuff I get up to, but there was a post from a few days ago that about how much more difficult it is to get your writing out there that summed up my own problems pretty well. I saw Nicheless on HN a few months ago and it seems like a nice place for doing what you said, and I do have a post on there[0], but the thing I struggle with most is that my writing is scattered and is about 30 different things at once so it's hard to "categorise" it I guess?
I have text notes full of half-baked ideas that are either too tiny/baseless to turn into comprehensible writing or they're too abstract/general to put into meaningful, concrete words. Any tips on getting your writing out there/writing in general? Thank you for the advice nonetheless.

- ravagat 4y agoThere you go! That's a good start, believe it or not the initial step is hardest, from here on out all you have to do is consistently share and not care about the outcome. First time of hearing of nicheless, looks cool! One thing I forgot to add is you should have one main platform (website) that can serve as the central link to all your notes. Hell even a public notion page with a list of links and titles of your writing would work. This should be an mandatory practice so that you(or your writing) can be found easily. Idk if you've heard of POSSE[0], its a great practice. Anyway don't worry about half-baked ideas, what you consider half-baked might be baked and ready to serve to someone else. With your goal of connecting I think you can and should disregard that perspective and just send it. I'd recommend using your existing channels (HN, twitter, LinkedIn, instagram, facebook, whatever social media site your on) and share it from there. It's really that simple! Someone is probably reading your post now as I type this. :) - [0] https://indieweb.org/POSSE https://indieweb.org/POSSE
