So if PET is not inert because it releases phthalates, is it safe for storing beverages intended for long-term regular consumption?
- MichaelZuo 4y agoDepends on your definition of 'safe'. Any known plastic will release some non-zero amount of matter into the liquid. The difference is in how much more than zero.
- wkat4242 4y agoThat doesn't really answer the OP's question though. I'm kinda curious too now. I already heard that it's very bad to reuse PET bottles. I wonder if this is why.
