For several years since I got my first cell phone I held my cell phone during conversations so its top side is on the same level as top edge of my ear. Seems neat an logical, right? Then I realized that I should align its speaker to be right against my ear canal, that is 1-2 cm lower. And now I could hear the other person so much better!
