- troll24601 15y agoNo. If you want ZFS root out of the box, you need to follow a guide like: http://www.aisecure.net/2011/11/28/root-zfs-freebsd9/ http://www.aisecure.net/2011/11/28/root-zfs-freebsd9/ It's roughly the same state as it was during FreeBSD8 except that some of the details are different due to the new installer.
