In another HN thread a commenter seemed to me to imply that the Devuan systemd-less fork of Debian was disreputable, or perhaps unworthy of trust. I disagree vehemently, and although such foundational documents often don't well chart the road ahead, this announcement of the Debian systemd-less fork does, IMHO. Another commenter suggested only one Debian Developer was involved in the Devuan fork, but this document clearly refutes that.
