“Reunification” with Taiwan Through Force Would Be a Pyrrhic Victory for China
- comte7092 4y agoThis article doesn’t go deep enough into China’s motivations for wanting to invade Taiwan. The recapture of Taiwan has been a top level priority for the CCP since its ascendancy, long before chip manufacturing was even a topic of conversation. The ultimate calculation is a long term one, whether they can get away with it without making a sacrifice to their own stability that they wouldn’t be able to recover from over the next 50 or so years.
