Seems like they should be ranked by SLOC or number of total watchers for their packages.
- ecto 15y agoGithub integration isn't a bad idea. What do you think the easiest way to grab SLOC/author is?
- malandrew 15y agoNumber of watchers and forks would be awesome, but including SLOC is a dubious metric IMHO. Other good metrics would be issues and pull request activity. A product with lots of pull requests and solved issues is one that is actively being used by people that probably matter. It would also be good to be able to rank modules by tags so that questions like, "what are the highest ranked testing libraries?" could be answered.
- DrJ 15y agothat's the first thing I noticed as well, it's based on the # of packages published by an author. Would be nice to be able to see a summary on their impact more than the # of packages. On another hand, I have met/worked with some of the people in the top #20 and I can say for sure they are major proponents(?) of Node.js. Heck, someone could go and published a lot of useless packages and get on the list! (if that kind of vanity was your thing) edit: michael jackson codes Node.js @ #310
