I stopped wearing my Apple Watch while surfing because this feature would trigger almost every time. It’s made worse by the fact that the touch screen is inoperable when the phone senses that it’s wet, so it’s difficult to cancel.
- LeoPanthera 4y agoWhy didn't you just disable the feature? In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap "Emergency SOS" and then turn off "Severe Crash" and/or "Fall Detection".
- trompetenaccoun 4y agoWhy would it be enabled by default? That's crazy.
- LeoPanthera 4y agoHardly anyone looks in the settings. If it was off by default it would be pointless. (I believe in current versions, it asks you during initial setup whether you would like it activated or not.)
