Ask HN: Except for pay and healthcare what are must-have things you look for when joining a company? I imagine things like PTO, access to laptop choice.
Is remote a must have?
Does the quality of the people you work with really matter? (Eg a culture of respectful communication etc)
Are there components of the dev stack / tech stack that are red flags that you will never touch?
- soueuls 4y agoHealthcare is not really important, I prefer taking care of that myself. Remote (fully remote) is indeed very important. I also prefer working for a company with a strong elitist worldview And I avoid companies that are into diversity hiring
