Not everyone parks indoors. Not everyone has reliable access to charging. This could be added to a plug in hybrid (mine only gets 20 miles electric, which covers my summer commute). Should solar panels be added to every electric car? No. Could this be an option for some people to reduce dependency on gas who are otherwise unable? Maybe.
