Taxation and spending is a means to an end. The end is reallocating the productive resources of the state to political rather than "free" market ends. Money locked up offshore is not relevant to this, only money being spent in the country on labour and resources.
- bratbag 4y agoMoney locked up offshore doesn't sit there doing nothing. It has a complex relationship with the labour, resources and political system of the nation that currency comes from. One of those relationships is the corruption feedback loop it creates, with offshore money buying political power which is used to aquire more offshore money.
