and this is why we have "quiet quitting", low workforce participation (i.e. people who are capable of working but just don't).... if there is no realistic hope of economic progress, people will just stop trying we already accept that home ownership has become "for the rich"...what next? car ownership? we can brag about our low unemployment rate...it doesn't look so rosy when you factor in workforce participation
