TikTok started off fine for me, full of positive and funny videos but slowly devolved into toxic content, and that's all I saw, so I uninstalled it. You just have to like one video that is toxic, and the algo spirals out of control and serves you nothing but toxic crap. Videos about eating disorders, bare knuckle boxing, depression videos. It's a hot mess.
