UK based software engineer - never seen anything other than 3 month notices. My wife was on 1 month when she was a junior data scientist but moved to 3 months 6 months later as she was promoted. It was the same in Iceland where I'm originally from. 3 months by far the most common for engineers. The one anomaly I've come across was Jump Trading. Their offer to me included a 12 month notice and a 36 month non compete. I told them to shove it and took another offer.
