Sounds like op is willing to take over the roles, and is questioning the effectiveness of separating retrieving requirements (ask the PM/designer) and coming up with requirements (figure it out yourself). Some companies don't let engineers do the come upping; I assume this is the case for them.
- gardenhedge 4y agoI agree. I see I didn't answer the OP at all. I'm in the same boat. I find business requirements are given to software engineers incomplete and it's up to them to complete the job because they are seen as 'smart'.
