Should I be using file extension .db or .sqlite3 ?
- simonw 4y agoMy experience is that it doesn't matter at all, but .db appears to me a lot more common than .sqlite3
- ocdtrekkie 4y agoI tend to use .sqlite so people know what the file is likely to open in. On Windows systems, I've found endless .dat files that could be from any number of database formats. I've noticed the tendency for .db but I consider it a bad practice, all things considered.
- breck 4y agoI prefer .sqlite3. It's 10x clearer what it is.

- harryvederci 4y agoThat's a prefix, not a suffix.
