Customer facing displays for signature capture are driving this, not inflation. It more of a why not, cant hurt approach to accepting payments. It's affected me to the point where I pay mostly in cash. I believe Square was the entity that foisted this mess on us the most. They were an early adopter of CFDs with an added tip.
