I read an article over here about how even though lemon juice was known to prevent scurvy. But cost cutting led to the use of lime (which has less vitamin c) or processed the lemon juice in such a way to destroy the vitamin c. Point is, something may seem to work, but if you aren't being scientific in your approach you aren't going to compare to something that actually works and discover your mistake.
