- emmjay_ 4y agoIt does, but hardly worth noting. "So yes, salt increases the boiling temperature, but not by very much. If you add 20 grams of salt to five litres of water, instead of boiling at 100° C, it’ll boil at 100.04° C." - sagaro 4y agoThis property is really helpful in making eggs using microwave. Take a mug of water, add salt, crack an egg and pour it in. Stick this in the microwave, the egg gets boiled perfectly, because the salt slows down the boiling point.
