- zarzavat 4y agoI'll play devil's advocate for this one. Photographers are closer to being technicians. There is some creativity in it, there is creativity in everything we do. But the level of creativity required from a photographer does not approach that of a composer, a painter or a writer, who create art from nothing. Moreover commercial photography often intentionally has very little creativity. You want a wedding photographer who is an excellent technician, not a "creative".
