Deepfakes for scrawl: With handwriting synthesis, no pen is necessary
- jaclaz 4y agoMinor nitpick: >The demo is particularly interesting because it doesn't use a font. Typefaces that look like handwriting have been around for over 80 years, but each letter comes out as a duplicate no matter how many times you use it. Not really-really, there are simple systems that use (randomly) one among several very similar, yet slightly different, handwritten-like fonts characters. The result is rather convincing, a couple examples: https://www.calligraphr.com/en/docs/tutorial2/ https://www.calligraphr.com/en/docs/tutorial2/ https://www.quantumenterprises.co.uk/handwriting-fonts/index.htm https://www.quantumenterprises.co.uk/handwriting-fonts/index...
