ChatGPT Cites Economics Papers That Do Not Exist
- ZeroGravitas 4y agoI assumed that chatGPT was just a supercharged Markov chain, predicting the next word in a sequence, but lots of the discussion suggests it isn't, or at least was billed as more. For example, this behaviour isn't unexpected if it's just really good at predicting the next word statistically.
