Smartphone shipments plunge to a low not seen since 2013 – largest ever decline
- dieselgate 4y agoanecdotally I recently purchased a flip phone for the first time since about 2013 - still use the smart phone though It is insane the "low point" is marked at about 1.2 billion units - that's ridiculous. Many of us have at least a few phones laying around anyway it makes sense given this throughput (and demand).
- Sunspark 4y agoWith the exception of a better camera, there is no need to buy a new phone. Manufacturers remove features.. removing 3.5mm, SD card, IR, removable battery, etc. Having the "newest model" will not change your texting experience, and I don't use phones for games..
