I mean the post itself basically says as much. Not quite joking, but sarcastic, and to demonstrate that (as far as the author is concerned, I have no strong opinion personally) the complaints about Rust's syntax are not actually due to the syntax, but the semantic features that necessitate some kind of syntax to make them work. It's a bit of a straw-man, of course, but it's an interesting idea that made a couple things a bit clearer for myself.
