- kimixa 4y agoI don't have the knowledge to really validate the contents of that article, but that page seems like a mess. References to "special interest" group webpages stating fact with zero apparently upstream research links, links to papers that don't actually support the assertion in the article (IE linking to a paper simply describing the action of histamine of cells in-vitro, not actually drawing a link to diet), referencing what appear to be "diet" books or "Popular Science"-style news sites rather than any actual research papers. Though some of that may be lost in translation - it seems that the entire page is a direct translation from German, and the majority of the references also seem to be in German, which I do not speak so cannot really verify myself. I do note that one of the articles used as a references, also in German and apparently at least login-walled so cannot read, is titled "Histamine intolerance: lack of reproducibility of single symptoms by oral provocation with histamine: A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled cross-over study" - which doesn't seem to support the statement that is a referenced to in the article. From an outsider POV is seems pretty weird that there's a pretty big proportion of people (1 in 100 meaning millions) suffering from this that doesn't seem to have been investigated in English medical circles at all.
