I refuse to use SO as either a person asking questions or as a person answering questions. When SO started off, I was happy to answer questions. But I also asked some questions, only to get hit with the toxicity which was showing up very early on. So I withdrew my service from the site. "That is an unsuitable question". Oh really? Now why is is that? Let me guess which of a million possibilities is why you say my question is unsuitable. "That question has been answered before". Yeah, I thought somebody else might have had that problem before. Oh, you want me to guess which of the millions of answers on SO is the answer to my particular question. Gee, thanks. "Your question has been closed." Wow, thanks. I suppose my question must have been too difficult for you, and that's why it was closed. Etc, etc, etc. Rank toxicity. These days, I ask Google for nearly all my questions. If Google points me towards SO, I might look and read, but I will no longer comment.
