As India Tries to Block a Modi Documentary, Students Fight to See It
- rayiner 4y agoIt’s wild how popular Modi is: https://morningconsult.com/global-leader-approval https://morningconsult.com/global-leader-approval. He’s had a 70-80% approval rating for years, and is by a good margin the most popular elected leader of a major country. The westernized elite in India have basically collapsed as a political force.
- unmole 4y agoIn the most recent general election, BJP only received ~37% of the votes and the NDA overall about 45%. In a country where even exit polls are often hilariously wrong, approval ratings are a completely worthless measure. Yes, Modi is the most popular Indian politician. But he isn't invincible or does he enjoy unanimous support.
- rayiner 4y agoMorning Consult, a reputable American polling organization, conducts this polling in India.
- samarthr1 4y agoHonestly, that is not a bad thing. The westernised elite were not particularly good for us...
- norwalkbear 4y agoI don't blame them, the BBC is engaging in wild anti-india propaganda. If I had to guess it's because India is buying Russian oil.
- anaganisk 4y agoWhen did Modi become equal to India? Many news channels in the world Criticized Trump does that mean it was Anti-US propoganda? Criticizing him =/= anti india and as an Indian myself, I hate when people equate criticizing him, is anti Indian. The man not once spoke to a reporter and took a question. He is not even approachable. He is just a smarter version of Trump. Comes up with half assed ideas and implements them poorly. In this age in these times, he is more concerned about building a temple than looking into thousands of other things that need urgent priority.
